What is it about?
This interactive workshop will support teachers in introducing children’s rights in the classroom in a way that is creative, age-appropriate and empowering. The workshop will focus on how to engage children and youth in topics such as freedom of expression, the right to protest, and youth participation, using literature and storytelling as key tools. Through practical exercises and shared experiences, participants will explore how to foster spaces where children can express themselves, organize around issues they care about, and take meaningful action. You’ll leave the workshop with ready-to-use methods and educational resources for developing students’ rights awareness and supporting their voices.

Lead facilitator
Dariusz Grzemny is a youth worker, trainer and human rights educator based in Poland. He has led numerous training programmes across Europe and worked internationally with Amnesty International and the Council of Europe. He is a long-time member of the Pool of Trainers of the Youth Directorate of the Council of Europe and contributed to the No Hate Speech Movement campaign. Dariusz is the author of several educational materials on human rights education. Currently, he works at SZANSA NGO in Głogów, where he coordinates international educational projects and runs the training programme at a Child Advocacy Centre (Barnahus model) supporting abused and vulnerable children.
